Блэквуд Элджернон

Алджернон Блэквуд (англ. Algernon Henry Blackwood, 14 марта 1869 года, Кент — 10 декабря 1951 года) — английский писатель и путешественник, один из ведущих авторов-мистиков, классик литературы ужасов и рассказа с привидениями первой половины XX века. Автор 13 романов, более 200 рассказов и повестей, опубликованных в периодике и многочисленных сборниках и антологиях. Также его перу принадлежит книга воспоминаний о первых 30 годах своей жизни, две опубликованные пьесы, несколько десятков статей и эссе. Кавалер Ордена Британской империи (CBE). Всемирную известность ему принес рассказ «Ивы» (англ. «The Willows»). Говард Ф. Лавкрафт считал Алджернона Блэквуда своим непосредственным предшественником.
