Care for leather-bound books

Books in leather binding made by the Creative workshop "Good traditions" withstand long-term use and at the same time retain their beauty. There is no need to care for them in any other way than for other books.

Here are some tips to help preserve the beauty of your leather-bound library:

  1. Good tradition recommends taking books out of their protective packaging once you have received them and before you place them on shelves.
  2. Your books should always be stored in a climate-controlled room where there is no humidity and frost. The obvious precautions are as follows: books or bookshelves should not be over or near radiators, nor in a place where the book is exposed to direct sunlight for any part of the day. Books should not be stored where there is leakage or dampness, as in a cellar or cellar. Finally, keep books away from water and other liquids. Water is the most destructive element to books, skin, or anything else.
  3. Books do not require cleaning, except for easy dust removal. Good tradition does not recommend the use of cleaning products when cleaning.
  4. Store your books either horizontally or vertically. Do not let the books rest on the corners, they can lose their shape.
  5. When moving your library for better protection, books should be wrapped in paper and Packed in a cardboard box.
