Alexander Chakovsky – Victory in 3 volumes. Gift books in leather binding.

The political novel “Victory”, published in three volumes, is a large‑scale historical chronicle of two key years — 1945 and 1975.
In the first part, the author recreates the summer of 1945, when a decisive political meeting of the three great powers — the USSR, the USA, and Great Britain — took place in Potsdam. The novel vividly describes the discussions in which Joseph Stalin, Harry S. Truman, and Winston Churchill shape the post‑war order, seeking to ensure lasting peace after the crushing defeat of Nazi Germany.
The second part is devoted to the summer of 1975, when in Helsinki, leaders of 33 European countries, as well as representatives of the United States and Canada, signed the Final Act of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe. This act became a symbol of the attempt to balance the confrontation between the two world systems — socialism and capitalism. Chakovsky reveals the political intrigues, diplomatic negotiations, and personal motives of the participants, showing how global strategy is determined by people.
The author relies on archival materials and public speeches by leaders, but at the same time brings them to life through dialogues, internal monologues, and emotional conflicts. Thanks to this, the novel immerses the reader in the atmosphere of historical events, allowing them to feel the tension and hope that accompanied every key decision.
