Volume 1.
This book tells about childhood, youth, the civil war, the beginning of the Great Patriotic War up to the struggle for Leningrad.

Volume 2.
The second volume is devoted to the Great Patriotic War, its experience, its difficulties and the brilliant victories of the Soviet Armed Forces, who carried out the great mission of liberating humanity from the Fascist yoke. The author tells about the battle for Moscow, Leningrad, the Battle of Stalingrad, which was the beginning of a radical change in the Great Patriotic War. The author covers the activities of the Headquarters of the Supreme High Command, its leadership in military operations. He does not ignore the mistakes in its activities, the reasons for our failures on the fronts.
Of particular interest are the chapters devoted to the defeat of the Fascist troops on the Kursk Bulge, the liberation of Belarus and Ukraine and the final battle of the Great Patriotic War - the Berlin Operation.
