Volume 1.
Includes seven works created in the years 1885-1896: "House of widow", "Heartbreaker", "Profession Mrs. Warren", "arms and the man," "Candida," "the man of destiny", "Wait and see". The first three pieces made up the cycle of "Plays unpleasant", the other cycle "Plays pleasant." Published and three prefaces, written by the playwright: "Mostly about himself", Preface to the play "Profession Mrs. Warren" and to the cycle of "Plays pleasant."
Volume 2.
Contains six works created in the years 1897-1904: "the devil's Disciple", "Caesar and Cleopatra", "the Appeal of captain Brassbound", "Great BELVIL, or constancy Unrewarded," "Man and Superman", "the Other island John bull". The first three pieces made up the cycle of "Plays for puritans".
