Slavic traditions, magical characters and the ancient rituals of ancestors
Fairy tales collected by A.N. Afanasyev are a real monument of folk literature. They played an important role in the development of literature, culture and ethnography. But fairy tales are not only material for research. They open the door to another world for the reader.
Included in this two-volume fairy tales are interesting for their plot, various magical characters and amazing poetic language. Most of them are based on the traditions and beliefs of Slavic tribes. The ancient way of life of our ancestors is shown: mysterious rituals, dreams and omens are described. Folk tales published in their original form will not only restore the sense of continuity of the clans, but also help to join the native Russian culture and folk wisdom.
