The Airport is a best-selling novel by Arthur Haley, published in 1968. The fictional city where the largest airport is located is suddenly covered by a snowstorm, so all services are working in emergency mode.

One problem after another falls on the airport staff, ranging from a car with groceries that disappeared somewhere to a terrible accident on board one of the planes. And to everything else, the aggravated personal problems of the characters, their complex mental dramas are added – that's how the action of the novel, which fits into one Friday evening, will be tied into such a tangled tangle of storylines.
