Orthodox encyclopedia, a specialized encyclopedia, published by the Church research center "Orthodox encyclopedia". Head of the center "the Orthodox encyclopedia" on the day of its Foundation is Sergey Kravets.

The purpose of the publication stated:
- to give comprehensive information on two thousand years of history and the current state of the Ecumenical Orthodoxy;
- to familiarize the reader with other Christian confessions, non-Christian religions and with the phenomena of science, culture, philosophy, art, politics, one way or another related to religion.

In working on encyclopedia engaged teachers of theological schools of the Russian Orthodox Church, the institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and a number of regional universities, the Synod Commission and the Department of the Moscow Patriarchate, as well as the scientific centers of the USA, Greece, Italy, representatives of other local Orthodox churches.

January 2020 issued 56 volumes.
