Vladimir Petrovich Stavsky — (alias; real name — Kirpichnikov), Soviet writer and literary functionary, member of the CPSU since 1918. The Civil war 1918-20. During the great Patriotic war of 1941-45, war correspondent of the Central Newspapers. His first book of essays "have been" (1924), a collection of short stories "Stronger than death" (1932) and the play "War" (1941) dedicated to the Civil war; sketch of the story "the Village" (1928), "Run-up" (1930; eponymous play staged in 1932), "On the crest" (1931-33) — rebuilding of the village. In 1928-32 Secretariat; in 1936-41, the General Secretary of the Union of Soviet writers. The editor of the magazine "New world" (1937—1943). Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 1st convocation. Awarded the order of Lenin, 4 other orders, and medals.

The book includes a sketch of the novel "Run-up" (1930; eponymous play staged in 1932), and "On the crest" (1931-1933) on the post-revolutionary rebuilding of the village. About the author: stawski V. P. (1900-1943) - a writer, journalist, participated in the organization of the Union of writers of the USSR, since 1934 member of the Presidium of the Board of the joint venture. In 1937-1941 he was the chief editor of the magazine "New world", during the war, was a war correspondent at the battle of Khalkhin Gol and winter war, where he received a severe wound.
