Georgy Vladimov. Collected Works in 4 Volumes. Exclusive books in a leather binding.
The four‑volume collection of Georgy Vladimov brings together the main works of the Soviet and émigré writer, who honestly and deeply explored the theme of human dignity in extreme conditions. In his books, the author wrote about the hard work of workers and sailors, revealing the psychology of a person facing danger and the elements. He gained immense fame thanks to his tragic story about the loyalty of a camp dog in a changed world (“Faithful Ruslan”) and his large‑scale novel about the harsh truth of the Great Patriotic War (“The General and His Army”). Vladimov wrote about the conflict between an honest person and a cruel state system, about military duty, conscience, and the search for inner freedom. The last volume of the collection is devoted to his articles and reflections on literature, which help to better understand the writer’s views on life and creativity.
