Vices and sayings still relevant more than 150 years later

In Krylov's fables, social and human vices were exposed: rudeness, greed, ingratitude, cunning. N. V. Gogol called Krylov's fables "the book of wisdom of the people themselves". Many expressions from Krylov's fables have become real sayings: "And Vaska listens and eats", "I didn't notice the Elephant", "But only the cart is still there", "And the casket just opened". Despite the fact that the fables were written more than 150 years ago, they have not lost their relevance at all today.
