The present edition of the Complete works of the great Russian writer and fabulist Ivan Andreevich Krylov is carried out according to the Council of people's Commissars of the USSR from July 15, 1944 During the life of I. A. Krylov's collection of his works was not published. Many prose works, plays and poems remained lost in periodicals of the late eighteenth century. Repeatedly printed, only collections of his fables. Several attempts were made to publish the Complete works, however, to achieve this completeness, was not possible due to a number of reasons.
Now the works of Krylov includes all artwork, translations, and letters. The publication consists of three volumes.

Volume 1

Prose, journal prose, mostly chronologically limited to the last decade of the XVIII century;

Volume 2

Dramatic works (1783 - 1807);

Volume 3

Fable, related mostly to the last period of the work of Krylov and his poems. This volume contains letters, official notes and so on.
