Twenties social science fiction with adventurous plots and subtle psychology
Aleksey Nikolayevich Tolstoy — Russian and Soviet writer and public figure of the sort of Thick. The author of socio-psychological, historical and science fiction novels, novellas and short stories, publicistic works. Winner of three Stalin prizes of the first degree.
This edition includes the famous sci-Fi novels of Alexei Tolstoy's "Aelita" and "the Hyperboloid of engineer Garin", created in the twenties of the last century. The author himself spoke of his science fiction books with warmth and humor: "No fiction is boring all the same artist, wise somehow... Artist by nature - liar, that's it!". Met with writers-contemporaries with a fair amount of prejudice, "Aelita" and "the Hyperboloid of engineer Garin" however, are not only masterpieces of social science fiction of their time, they are now able to captivate the reader with its vivid imagery, touching and subtle psychological insight, an adventurous plot and relevant issues.
