Emmanuil Genrikhovich Kazakevich — Jewish Russian and Soviet writer and poet, translator, scriptwriter. Prose wrote mostly in Russian language, poetry in Yiddish.

The novel "the House on the square" (1949 - 1955), written as a sequel to "Spring on the Oder" (1947 - 1949).
Volume 3
Works written by the author in the last years of life: a novel "the Blue notebook" stories "in the light of day", "the arrival of the father visit the son" and essays on "Old friends", "Lenin in Paris". A significant part of the volume consists of extracts from the diaries and notebooks of engineering, which he led from 1948 to 1962, They convey the broader historical and social panorama of this period and reveal the creative laboratory of the writer.
