Documents, memoirs and the author's personal observations of Chancellor Adenauer
"Konrad Adenauer - the German of Four Eras" is a book that represents the first solid study of the life and work of an outstanding German politician in Russia. The book is based on documentary and memoir materials, not least the memoirs of Adenauer himself, statements and assessments of the press of that time.
The author of the book, Vsevolod Yezhov, is a doctor of historical sciences, professor, who in the second half of the 50s - early 60s was the second secretary of the USSR Embassy in Bonn. He repeatedly attended K. Adenauer's speeches in the Bundestag, at his press conferences, and could observe the Chancellor at receptions and other events.
The book is intended to rehabilitate the image of Konrad Adenauer distorted by Soviet propaganda, to give an objective assessment of his contribution to world politics. This research will be interesting both for historians and for a wide range of readers interested in history and politics.
