The handbook is the first study in Russian Oriental studies devoted to the study of the genealogy of the Quraysh tribe native to the Prophet Muhammad. It contains genealogical tables representing all the main branches of the family tree of the Quraysh from the period of the origin of the tribe to the stage of its gradual disintegration after the emergence of a new type of association of Arabs — the Muslim community.
