The memoirs of Prince Mikhail Vladimirovich Golitsyn extracted from the family archive are being published for the first time. Their author was a prominent zemstvo and public figure of pre-revolutionary Russia. The book was created by the prince in his declining years, already under Soviet rule, and its manuscript was subsequently lost. However, an authorized typewritten copy of "My Memoirs" has been preserved - and thanks to it, the modern reader can learn a lot about the life of the great princely Golitsyn family "from Pokrovka", about the multifaceted life and being of Moscow and Russia in the late XIX - early XX century, about the "labors and days" of hundreds of Russians - famous and unknown to anyone.
