Ten storytellers escape the plague through tales celebrating sensual life
"Decameron" is one of the pearls of Renaissance literature, a collection of amazingly bright, juicy short stories celebrating life in all its sensual manifestations. During the plague of 1348, ten young people shut themselves up in a country villa, telling each other various stories. The book is published in translation by the largest Russian philologist, academician A. N. Veselovsky.
