Prince A. D. Golitsyn - Memoirs in 2 volumes. Gift books bound in leather.

A representative of the brilliant princely family of Golitsyns, an outstanding political figure (the district leader of the Kharkov nobility, a member of the Board of the Russian-English Bank, a member of the 3rd State Duma) Alexander Dmitrievich Golitsyn (1874-1957) left vivid memories in which his assessment of Russia's foreign and domestic policy at the turn of the XIX-XX century, individual historical figures (members of the royal family, P.A. Stolypin, A.I. Guchkov, N.N. Lviv, etc.) turns out to be a valuable historical document. In detail, with details that can only be known to a participant or an eyewitness of the events, the pages of the memoirs describe both the landowner's life of a rich landowner, his hunting amusements; and the work of zemstvo institutions at the turn of the XIX and XX centuries; and celebrations in connection with the 300th anniversary of the Romanov House, in which the author of the memoirs participated as the master of ceremonies of the Highest Court. After several years of wandering around Europe, Prince A.D. Golitsyn and his family settled in Paris. In 1925 he became one of the organizers of the Union of Russian Nobles in France. Prince A.D. Golitsyn died in exile, and was buried near Paris at the Saint-Genevieve-de-Bois Russian cemetery next to his wife. The publication was carried out for the 600th anniversary of the foundation of the Golitsyn family in Russia.
