Happiness, joyful work, and love within society and family
"What should I do?" — a novel by the Russian philosopher, journalist and literary critic Nikolai Chernyshevsky, written in December 1862-April 1863, during his imprisonment in the Peter and Paul Fortress of St. Petersburg. It raises the most important problems for each person: how to be happy in society, in the family, what it means to work for joy, to love and be loved. It was written partly in response to the work of Ivan Turgenev "Fathers and Children".
